On truth, art and propaganda

This comes in the wake of Mallika Sarabhai's 'Dance to change the world' performance(?) at TED India, Mysore.

I find the plot (a curious perversion of the ahalya-gautama episode), the characters and the message conveyed to be assumptive, offending, incoherent and obnoxious.

Linguistics, Races, Music & Tamizh Nationalism

It's actually (not so) surprising (and pretty disturbing amongst other things) to know that a lot of people (especially those from our own country, the northern part of it) believe that South Indians are really a mono-linguistic, mono-ethnic lot who speak Tamizh, eat Idly-Vada-Dosa, Treat Rajnikant on par with god and have a complexion comparable to charcoal.
