Drupal Workshop at RVCE Bangalore

There's a Drupal workshop on at RVCE, Bangalore. This is primarily intended at VTU faculty, but I've been told that this is open to all:

Department of Computer Science and Engineering , Information Science and
Engineering and Master of Computer Applications of R.V.College of
Engineering are jointly organizing a 5 day workshop on developing websites
using Free and Open Source Software for the staff of VTU

The topics covered includes the following

- Drupal Installation & Integration with Apache2/Mysql, Modules & Themes
- Introduction to CCK,
- Views and Multi user management,
- Hosting multiple websites using same drupal instance ,
- Integrating Drupal with LDAP for single-point authentication ,
- Developing, deploying and maintaining production websites using Drupal

- Using RSS feeds,
- Publishing custom content,
- Maintaining blogs ,
- Integrating search engines with Drupal and
- Newsletters & mass-mail with Drupal

The outcome of the workshop is to develop a CMS ( content management system)
based website for a typical educational institution.

Resource persons are from Shikhara Solution Private Limited and
DeeprootLinux Private Limited

Registration Fee of Rs 1000/- ( one thousand only ) is charged for each
participant .

Outstation Participants will be provided accommodation at nominal charges.
